Located in Beavertown, PA, Super Service Garage is one of the region’s oldest and most storied businesses. Founded by Guy Narehood in 1930 (the starting point of America’s Great Depression), the company began as a two-pump gas station and auto repair center.
The company later expanded into several other business enterprises. In 1938, we signed a contract with the Midd-West School district to provide student transportation services, a long-standing relationship that remains intact today. A few years later, Super Service Garage became an authorized dealer for International Harvester’s agricultural farm equipment.
Guy’s son Ken took the reigns in 1957 and continued the company’s diversification. In 1961, Super Service Garage became an authorized dealer for Cub Cadet, which was then part of International Harvester. An over-the-road trucking division opened in 1964, and for the next 17 years Super Service Trucking hauled steel from a Youngstown, Ohio foundry to various New England destinations.
When Ken Narehood passed away in 2002 his son Gary assumed the Super Service leadership role. A leader in the local community, Gary is actively involved in a variety of business and civic service organizations.
Today, the three-generation, family-owned and operated business is an authorized dealer for Navistar International and Cub Cadet, staffs an professional parts and service department, and operates Narehood Transportation.
Reliable products and services…that’s what set Super Service Garage apart more than 80 years ago, and it’s the tradition that continues today.
